Keeping in mind the advice I got from you all on things to keep in mind when doing arcade stick artwork, I have created a second design. I think this one should still look fine even when hands are covering most of it while in play. Still don't know if I should do something with the buttons or not. After modding my Mad Catz Fightstick TE recently with the Toodles MC Cthulhu and Imp v2, I started thinking about maybe replacing the artwork on it with custom artwork as well. I put together a quick design with gimp...well, it would have been quick if I could use gimp properly.   Anyway, what do you guys think? Feel free to leave impressions and suggestions in the comments.

I was looking through my Niconico settings today, and while I was at it, I took a look at my favorited videos list and found some stuff that I had completely forgotten about. "Bad Apple!! feat. nomico" was featured in short clip on CNN! Based on the video, it seems it was shown at some point in the afternoon on CNN Newsroom. Now normally, this would be awesome. But it's not. Do you like BURNING giant robot songs? Because this one is totally on fire! Well, not the robot, but the song totally is. The song was originally a BGM from Touhou 12.3, but its old school giant robot feel quickly got denizens of niconico to add lyrics to it and try to sing it. So I just finished watching 11eyes, and overall, it wasn't really that good. I'm still thinking about playing the game though, seeing as how it looks quite different from the anime, I'm going to guess that it is in fact different, and hopefully interesting and engaging. I'm probably going to pick up the Xbox 360 version. I've also watched the first episodes of a few shows this season now, being Ladies verses Butlers, Baka to Test to Shoukanjyuu, and Dance in the Vampire Bund. Ladies verses Butlers so far is most definitely a fanservicey show, and Flameheart's incredibly huge drill hair vaguely bothered me initially just by the sheer size. I somewhat got used to it as I watched the episode, but for a short while I was contemplating how much hair you would need to be able to pull off that kind of hair. This video is full of references, I'm pretty sure I don't even get half of them. Most of the characters in it are Touhou, and I'm familiar with Buront, but not so much the other people that show up in it. The references I do get for sure are Gundam SEED, GaoGaiGar, Nadesico, Giant Robo, and probably some other stuff I forgot to mention. MMD (MikuMikuDance) has been used for quite some time now to make 3D animated dances and movies on Niconico. Although started with just Miku, a large number of good character models have since been created, and the old ones improved. MMD itself has improved over time, allowing more expressive movement of both the characters and clothing. Of course it's not perfect, but what do you expect for free? The shadow picture version of Bad Apple that I posted about a few days ago has generated some pretty amazing derivative videos. I figured I'd post some of the ones I found especially good or clever. You might think that after being on Niconico a long time, you'd get used to all weird things they can come up with. That hasn't happened yet. This video is pretty weird, but somehow great at the same time. For those not so familiar with Touhou mythology, this video is probably about the battle that occured between the native Japanese god Suwako, and the conquering Yamato god Kanako. I have to say I'm not entirely sure why King Ghidorah and Minilla are there too. Also, shakōkidogū and various other traditional Japanese things can be seen fighting. Most of my friends who'd be most interested in seeing this probably have, but I thought this would be an appropriate video to start out the blog with. It's on niconico, touhou related, recent, and awesome, giving it all the qualifications I arbitrarily decided were necessary for the first post.
